This page contains some useful information for parents regarding this term at HTB Youth. Please do make a note of all the dates now so you can avoid diary clashes and disappointed teenagers.

// YOUNGER YOUTH - school years 7-9

Younger Youth meets at THREE services on Sundays during termtime. YY at the 9:30am service (starts after family worship and HTB News in the Church) and 11:30am service (starting straight away in the Hut, not in the main church) at HTB Brompton Road, and at the 16:30 service* at HTB Onslow Square.

_{* Please note that there may be some weeks when we decide to keep the YY in the main 16:30 service depending on the topic and speaker – this will be quite flexible.}

YY also have regular Friday night socials which are designed to provide a safe and fun environment for our youth and their leaders to get to know each other – do see the term card for details. These alternate between central events for all YY and small group socials. Friends are always welcome!

A note on the 16:30 service & children:
There are no CHTB groups at the 16:30 service and no plans to introduce any. If you have children younger than youth age (school year 7) and want to attend the afternoon service, please can we encourage you to take children to HTB Queens Gate’s 4:30pm service where there is a full CHTB programme for 0-11s. Your children will be much more engaged there than sitting through the main service at Onslow Square. We know of several families who have found this to be a great way to do church as a family.

// OLDER YOUTH - school years 10-13

The 16:30 service every Sunday at HTB Onslow Square is the main meeting point for the Older Youth and we would love to encourage them to bring friends too.

All of the Older Youth are encouraged to be a part of a small group. Small groups meet independently and the leaders of each group will make a plan together as to how these meetings will happen. Small groups are the core building blocks of our youth ministry and we would love every member of HTB Youth to be part of one.

// FOCUS – 27 July-2 August

Focus is our church’s annual week away together. Last year was undoubtedly the biggest and best Focus ever, and we had a great week. We very much hope that every HTB Youth member will come with their families (i.e. you!), so please do save the dates. Booking is open now: www.htb.org.uk/focus

// SOUL SURVIVOR – 18-23 August

Every year we take a large group of our Older Youth to Soul Survivor, a huge Christian youth festival in Somerset. Last year we had a great time camping with thousands of others and the whole group grew in their faith. We will be taking a group again this year (those currently in years 9-13 only) to week C – Sunday 18–Friday 23 August - and would love it if your teenagers are able to come. More information will be sent out to those in school years 9-13 at the end of January.
