Children

CHTB
is the children’s ministry within HTB which is designed for children from 0 – school year 6 (approx 11 years old).

Our vision is to work alongside parents to see children become fully devoted to God and get excited about what God has planned for their lives. We hope to engage children in church they want to be part of.

CHTB is a place where children:

  • LOVE – know the love of God through Jesus and develop new and lasting friendships.
  • LAUGH – have fun with games, competitions, small groups, craft, sport, puppets and dramas.
  • LIVE – work out what living God’s way looks like.
  • LEARN – learn more about God through biblical, creative and age appropriate talks and worship.

CHTB takes place during the 9.30am and 11.30am services. All children worship with their families and the rest of the congregation in the church for the first part of the service before joining their CHTB groups after the sharing of the Peace.

CHTB is made up of three parts:

CHTB Crèche

The Comfort Room is an unsupervised room in the crypt for parents with new babies. The service can be watched on a TV monitor.
Crawlers and Walkers meet in the crypt – these rooms are manned by the CHTB team and parents who are put on a parent rota.

CHTB Clubhouse

2s, 3s, 4s, kindergarten and year 1 meet in Church House – these rooms are manned by the CHTB team and parents who are put on a parent rota.

CHTB Offshore

School year 2-6 (approx age 7-11) meet on the ramp outside the Resurrection Chapel on the left of the church. The children are taken to the hall at the end of the drive and brought back to the ramp at the end of the service. This group is run by the CHTB team.

All children must be picked up at the end of the services by their parent/guardian.

CHECK IN

All children must be checked in to CHTB before they go to their groups. The 'Check in' area is located in the Resurrection Chapel. CHTB Check in opens 15 minutes before each service starts until the children leave for their groups after the Peace.
