On Saturday 11th sept HTB is teaming up with City Lights to make a lasting difference to a number of communities around London. 1 day, 400 people, 6 estates. The day will include worship, training in the morning, group projects on different estates in the afternoon, and feedback, food and music in the evening at St Paul's Onslow Square. Saturday Prayer Ministry - 10:30am-12:30pm in the Crypts at HTB. A safe environment to come together to share and discuss specific issues surrounding those who are parenting alone. This is followed with a time of teaching and prayer ministry.

10.00am ACT Training - Stop Trafficking

Saturday 18th September – ACT Training day

ACT groups work in their local area to stop trafficking. This training will be really practical, helping you understand how to set up an ACT group in your local area alongside others from HTB and the community. It will enable you as a group to identify and report trafficking, educating local businesses in spotting trafficking and to work to create a community where it is harder for traffickers to hide themselves and their victims.
The training will include speakers from stop the traffick and SOCA (serious organized crimes agency)

This session will cover the essential elements of helping in a prison ministry context, enabling you to minister safely and responsibly, equipping you to help on a prison alpha course.
This evening is intended for all those who are interested in helping on a Prisons Alpha course, or those who are already involved in prison ministry.

This training is an entry requirement for helping with the Alpha for Prisons ministry.

Date: Monday 20th September
Venue: Crypts - Holy Trinity Brompton, SW7 1JA ( in the main church building next to the bookshop)
Time: 19:00 – 21:00 (please note that no dinner will be served, only light refreshments, tea and coffee)

We would love to invite you to join us for an Evening with Bear Grylls on 22nd September at HTB. The evening will kick off at 7pm with live music, drinks and canapés followed by an interview with Bear Grylls hosted by Nicky Gumbel. This is a great event to bring friends to who are interested in coming on the next Alpha course.

Bear Grylls is Ex Special Forces, Everest mountaineer & presenter of Channel 4's 'Bear Grylls: Born Survivor', he has also recently taken up the mantle of Chief Scout and we are excited that Bear Grylls will be back with us this year.

7.00pm The Money Course

A highly practical 4 week course for those struggling with their finances, or who want tips on better budgeting and money management.

As well as looking at the many things the Bible has to say on the subject, the course includes a step by step guide to building a budget, tips and strategies on balancing your finances, and practical methods of living within a day to day budget.

The course will run on Thursday evenings at HTB. The evenings will start with supper at 7pm (for which we will ask for donations of up to £3.50) with the course itself starting at 7.30pm sharp, and ending at 9.30pm. If you do not intend on joining us for the meal please let us know the week before info@themoneycourse.org or register under the courses section on the website.

The first GAT training following the summer break will be held on Saturday 25th September from 9am to 3.30pm and will cover everything you need to know about doing a GAT event.

It will include an overview of the GAT programme, how to prepare your talks, how to prepare for your trip, tips on working cross culturally, tips on how to prepare for your specific role within the team and will give you the opportunity to hear from previous GAT Team members.
