Global Alpha Training
Jesus said "go and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19
Global Alpha Training - where global mission meets local evangelism. The aim of GAT is to enable people who know and love the Alpha Course to help train and equip others around the world to run the course too.
It’s an initiative that has been growing fast at HTB and around the world in the past 12 months, with trips to countries from Armenia to Zambia, and lots of other places in between across Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Central/South America. It's a fun way to spend time with friends, with the purpose of equipping others to lead Alpha courses.
What is a GAT event?
GAT is different to any other conference or training event you have previously run or taken part in:
- It’s spread over 2, 3 or 4 days
- The training is delivered by you, a team of volunteers from a church which runs and loves Alpha
- Its interactive, including sketches and illustrations to assist with explanations and giving delegates the opportunity to experience and practise elements of the course
- GAT trips usually also include a social action project in the area, and last a total of approximately a week
