Directions

By Rail

The nearest British Rail station is in Lowestoft, approximately three miles from Pontin's, Pakefield.

Trains for Lowestoft depart from Liverpool Street and the journey takes 3-4 hours.

You are advised to book your ticket in advance as fares vary between £20.00 - £60.00 depending on when you book.

There is a bus terminal about 5-10 minutes walk from the train station which has a regular service to Pontin's (cost to Pontin's is approximately £2.00).

If you have a lot of luggage it is recommended that you take a taxi, as these are also available from the station (cost to Pakefield is approximately £10.00).

National Express Coach

National Express run a coach service between London and Lowestoft. Please ring 08705 808080 or visit www.nationalexpress.com for fares and timetables.

By Private Coach

Coach travel has been arranged from Holy Trinity Brompton to Pontin's on Saturday 26th July, leaving HTB at 12.30pm or 1.30pm and then returning on Saturday 2nd August, leaving Pakefield at 10.30am.

The cost of return coach travel is £30.00, non-refundable. Please email homefocus@htb.org.uk or call the office if you would like to book tickets.

Please note that seats are limited so we advise you to apply as soon as possible.

You must be able to board the coach at least 15 minites prior to departure.

Coaches depart from the front of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Brompton Road entrance.

By car

Pontin's, Pakefield is situated on the A12 road approximately two miles south of Lowestoft. If travelling from London the site is approximately one mile from the Kessingland bypass. On arrival in the area from the North via Norwich, please follow signs for Ipswich (A12). Directions are listed below.

Directions to Pakefield from London, Embankment

These directions will take you through the Congestion Charge Zone. Please remember that journeys through the area are free after 6pm on weekdays and during the weekend.

- Travel east along the Embankment toward Tower Hill

- After Tower Hill station, get in the left land (which will take you left down Minories), then keep right and turn right down Goodman's Yard

- Turn left down Mansell Street

- Turn right towards the A11

- Keep straight down Whitechapel High Street

- Come off at the Blackwell Tunnel Northern Approach (A12)

- Turn left onto the North Circular Road (A406)

- Follow the signs to the M11, northbound, at junction 4

- Turn right onto the M25 (J6)

- At J28 of the M25 go left onto the A1023

- Follow the signs to the A12, northbound

- Turn right onto the A14 (Toys R Us roundabout)

- Turn left onto the A12

- Travel north on the A12 until you reach Pontin's. It will be on your right. Watch out for the Home Focus sign!

How to get back to London: Directions from Pakefield to London

- Take A12 south and follow the signs to Ipswich / Colchester / London
