What is Home Focus?
The vision of Home Focus is that it will be a place where the whole church can gather together in a relaxed environment for a transforming week. Everyone who has been to Home Focus remarks upon the extraordinary sense of community they find there. From the perspective of a teaching week, we have invited a broad range of guest speakers for morning teaching sessions and evening celebrations, as well as laying on more in-depth interactive seminars throughout the day. Worship is led by the HTB band and there will be plenty of ministry. There are also special programmes for Students, Youth and Children.
But Home Focus is also quite simply a great holiday! We aim to provide something for everyone! Pakefield is perched on the top of a cliff with easy access to a private sandy beach. The site’s facilities include an indoor heated pool, tennis courts, sports field, crazy golf and pitch & putt. When you are not involved in one of the teaching programmes there’s the action-packed afternoon sports programme or you could try your hand at something more creative. There are chilled out drinks parties before dinner, and the world-renowned “Out of Focus” entertainment each evening. The 24/7 venue is also a great place to get away and spend some time with God.
What’s the programme?
Adults – teaching from world-renowned speakers makes this a week you don’t want to miss. Come and be fed and ministered to as we focus on this year’s theme – “Engage”. There will be morning and evening talks in the Ballroom and a great variety of morning and afternoon seminar streams.
Students – Come for the now world-famous’ student programme – we’ll have worship, talks and small groups in the morning, student lunches, social-action projects and lots of coffee!
Older Youth – Grab a coffee and relax in the mornings with a late breakfast followed by worship, talks and small groups. In the evening we turn up the volume for amazing worship celebrations with great speakers and rather ridiculous video clips – but most importantly lots of space to meet God.Younger Youth – An action-packed programme of worship, talks, discussion groups, seminars, crazy games, and all the other usual Focus madness!
Children - a fun-filled week that includes great teaching, beach trips, crazy games, arty crafts, swimming, praise parties, plus the chance to make new friends and catch up with old ones.
