Home Focus is a half-board week long holiday for members of Holy Trinity Brompton and invited friends.

Pre-registration is essential. Guests arriving at Home Focus without a confirmed booking will not be admitted.

Submission of the booking form does not constitute confirmed registration. Guests will be contacted as soon as possible to advise them of the status of their booking. Guests will be advised at this time if they have been placed on a waiting list.

Bookings are non-transferable.

Cancellations must be made in writing in adherence with the Cancellation Policy (section 6c).

1. Booking Group

Each guest must complete a separate application form with the exception of married couples and families.

Date of Birth is requested to assist with room allocations.

A ‘Student’ is someone who is currently on their gap year, or in full-time further education as of September 2008.

All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Full participation in the CHTB and youth sessions is expected.

1b. Teams

Team members are coordinated through the relevant departments at HTB and pay reduced fees depending on the level of involvement. If you are interested in joining a team for the week, please go to htb.org.uk/homefocus/join-a-team for more information.

2. Personal Details

Please ensure you provide the correct contact details. If these change, please make sure that the Home Focus office is informed.

3. Accommodation

3a. Chalets

Chalets are at ground level, with an en-suite bathroom. Please note that accommodation is basic and compact. Storage space is minimal. Basic bed linen and towels are provided.

There are no single occupancy chalets. If you would like to stay in a single occupancy accommodation we recommend that you contact a local B&B. Please refer to section 3c for details.

Please provide details of who you would like share with and be located near. Single guests will be placed in same-sex chalets.

While we will make every effort to accommodate your wishes, please note that, due to restrictions in the layout of the site and different sizes of chalets, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests.

3b. Camping

Two camping sites are available with pre-allocated tent spaces; one for families with children under 18, and the other for adults and students. Please indicate on the form where you would like to be located.

Campers provide their own tents. Please note that there is no electrical or water hook-up, and due to the layout of the site, campervans and caravans are not permitted.

Portaloos and showers are provided, and each site also has a ‘Chill-out’ marquee with refreshments and space to relax.

Please contact the Home Focus office if you would like to hire camping equipment.

3c. Bed & Breakfasts

It is the responsibility of the guest to find B&B accommodation. A list can be obtained from www.htb.org.uk/homefocus/accomodation/b-and-b, or from the Suffolk Tourist Board (01502 533 600 or www.visit-lowestoft.co.uk)

B&B fees include an evening meal on-site. It is assumed breakfast will be provided by your accommodation. B&B guests are very welcome to use the ‘Chill-out’ marquees on the camping sites if on-site space is needed during the week to relax.

4. Allergies and Special Needs

Please provide details of any allergies or special needs. The CHTB and Youth teams cannot guarantee to accept responsibility for your child if we have not been informed prior to Home Focus of any special needs your child has that may require extra supervision.

Applicants with mobility problems are recommended to bring a companion.

4a. Catering Arrangements

Vegetarians will be automatically catered for in the Pontin’s restaurant.

As all accommodation is half-board, all guests, including B&B guests, are required to provide their own lunch each day. There is a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance from the site.

A self-catering option is available for all guests for a reduction of £50 per adult and £25 per child for Chalet and Camping guests, and £25 per adult and £12.50 per child for B&B guests. Please note that there are no special refrigeration, catering or washing-up facilities for guests who choose this option.

If the self-catering option is taken, individual meal tickets are available on-site for meals in the restaurant.

4b. Refrigerators

A very small number of refrigerators are available to hire. Priority is given to those who require 24-hour access to medication, and families with small babies. Application to hire a fridge must be made in writing to the Home Focus office by 2 June 2008, and those who will be allocated a fridge will be notified after this date. We strongly recommend that alternative arrangements are made if you do not fit the above criteria.

5. Transport

There is limited car-parking, and only pre-registered cars will be allowed on-site. Directions to Home Focus will be included in the information pack which will be sent in July.

A return coach service will be provided direct from HTB to Home Focus on Saturday 26 July, returning on Saturday 2 August. Return journeys cost £30. No single tickets are available. Early booking is strongly recommended.

6. Finances

Please note that we do not accept cash payments.

All applications should include a £75 deposit per adult, and a £40 deposit per child. Applications will not be accepted without a deposit.

Full payment is due by 30 April 2008. No invoice or reminder will be sent. For your convenience, you may authorize automatic deduction from a credit or debit card, or enclose a post-dated cheque. Payment plans are available if you would rather pay in installments. Please contact the Home Focus office for more information.

Applications received after 30 April 2008 will not be accepted without the full payment.

6a. Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available for members of HTB. These are for half-board chalet guests only.

Application forms should include a letter from your HTB pastorate leader supporting your request for financial assistance, and also any other documentation you can provide, such as proof of benefits received.

Bursaries do not include financial aid for transport to and from Home Focus, or any sundry expenses incurred during the week.

6b. Insurance

Home Focus does not operate holiday insurance and therefore strongly recommend looking elsewhere for cover if needed. HTB cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to persons or property during the week.

6c. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation must be made in writing.

Guests who pay their deposit and/or full amount and then cancel will be given a full refund until 30 May 2008. Please note that if you cancel after 30 May 2008, you will forfeit your deposit, until 1 July 2008. From 1 July until 26 July you will lose 50% of your booking fee. From the day of arrival or afterwards, we regret you will lose 100% of your booking fee. All forfeited money will be given to the Home Focus Bursary fund. Please note that all bookings are non-transferable and that full payment must be received by 30 April 2008 to guarantee your booking.

7. Additional Information

There will be official photographers and cameramen on-site. Guests may feature in these images and be used on our website and in HTB’s printed material.
