Guidelines for Parents & Guardians
We very much hope that we will be a blessing to you and your children this week and ask that you would help us by observing the following points:
1. It is most important that all parents and guardians, whatever the age of their children and whether they have been to Home Focus before, come to the briefing on Sunday morning at 11am in the Ballroom with Nicky & Sila Lee.
2. Please note that the children and youth remain the responsibility of their parents and guardians at all times except when they are with their age-group leaders. By signing the booking form you are agreeing to this responsibility.
3. Please avoid noise near the chalets and camping sites after 7.30pm and before 7.30am. Young children who are awake early may be taken to the Nursery Playground.
4. Please ensure that no under 18 year-olds have alcohol when not under parental (or their guardian’s) supervision. Pontin’s does not allow people under 18 to consume alcoholic beverages in their licensed bars and would appreciate our co-operation in not purchasing alcohol for under 18 year-olds when in the bars.
5. No smoking on-site for those under 16 years old.
6. We ask that there is no rollerblading, scooters or bicycling on the paths by the doors of the chalets, or in any public venue (i.e. restaurant, reception, ballroom). Parents are encouraged to remind their children that leaving their bicycles in the road or in front of entrances to buildings is dangerous.
7. The cliffs and sand dunes are strictly out of bounds for climbing or jumping.
8. Parents are encouraged to comply with the recommended bedtimes for children and youth. These will be outlined in the information booklet sent out in July.
9. As demand for children and youth programmes is high, full participation in these sessions is expected. We encourage parents to ensure their children take advantage of the programme.
10. Helper/child ratios are carefully calculated. Unfortunately, it is not possible to place children in a different age-group from the one he/she should be in.
11. Please leave and collect your children promptly for each of the sessions. The time immediately before and after the session is important preparation time for the leaders so we would appreciate it if you could adhere as closely as possible to the session times.
12. As some of the sessions are creative and therefore messy, it is advisable not to bring your child to us in smart clothes!
13. Please do not leave the site when your child is in our care. It is very important that we are able to contact you should your child need you.
If you have any problems PLEASE speak to Matt Costley, Martha Hawkins or a member of the CHTB team. They will be happy to help you!
