More than 2,000 people attended the two Alternative Carol Services at HTB Onslow Square yesterday. Many queued along the street waiting for the doors to open.

Singers included Irwin Sparkes, lead singer of The Hoosiers, and King Charles (Charles Costa), who hit the charts this year. Videos of some of the performances are below. 

Guest preacher was J.John, one of the country's foremost evangelists.

Vicar Nicky Gumbel welcomed everyone to the services, which included traditional and new carols. Tim Hughes led a worship band and choir.
