Around 4,000 people attended HTB's four Carols by Candlelight services this weekend led by a 100-strong orchestra and choir.
Vicar Nicky Gumbel and Director of Prayer Pete Greig spoke at all four services, remarking upon the Christmas stamps this year which highlight passages on the birth of Jesus in the Bible. Both talks are shown below.
Adventurer Bear Grylls spoke at the 5pm service tonight (Sunday), reading some words he had written about the importance of the Christian faith in his life. Holding his two year old son Huckleberry in his arms, he told how Nicky Gumbel had invited him to speak at the service while he was filming in Borneo.
Carols this year included O Come, O Come Emmanuel; Unto us a Child is Born; O Come all Ye Faithful; and Hark, The Herald Angels Sing.
The choir and orchestra was led by Director of Classical Music Mark Underwood.
