More than 1,500 delegates from around the world are set to attend Alpha International’s big biennial conference week, opening this weekend across all three HTB sites.
Delegates from multiple denominations including Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal and Anglican will be attending the various conferences throughout the week with a large number of Bishops and Archbishops expected.
The special Bishops' Stream will be hosted by the Bishop of London, who opens the two-day Alpha conference on Monday, June 6.
A seminar by leading Catholic speaker Christopher West will be delivered at HTB Onslow Square at 2:30 on Sunday, June 5.
Some of the topics include: Principles in Alpha, Alpha in a Catholic Context, Worship on Alpha, Reaching out to Migrant Communities, Alpha and Sport, and preparing a talk for Alpha ESOL.
There will also be small group sessions where delegates will be able to share their stories of leading Alpha and extended networking sessions.
UK Vision day is on Wednesday and is the best opportunity to find out what has been happening with Alpha in the UK and where it is headed.
Alpha leaders from all over the world will be sharing their stories and giving feedback in the ‘News from the Nations’ sections led by Nicky Gumbel on Wednesday and Thursday.
Nicky will also give a talk on his vision for Alpha moving forward and his desire to reach 100 million people by 2020.
There will also be a leadership panel where delegates will be able to find out how leadership in the Church works and what it looks like.
The Relationship Central conference is on Friday, hosted by Nicky and Sila Lee. The Marriage Course, the Marriage Preparation Course, and the new Parenting courses will be discussed in-depth.
The conference week wraps up on Saturday with the Pentecost celebrations at the O2 Arena. HTB is linking up with Hilsong, Jesus House and churches from all over the country to hold a worship event at the iconic London venue. There are still tickets remaining click here to find out more.
