Bishop confirms 39 at Onslow Square

    The Bishop of Kensington confirmed 39 people at a service of Confirmation at HTB Onslow Square this evening.

    Hundreds of people attended the service which was opened by Vicar Nicky Gumbel. During the confirmation process, each candidate was surrounded by family and friends as the Bishop prayed.

    The Bishop, the Rt Rev'd Paul Williams, delivered a sermon on the gospel passage John 7 vv37-39: 'On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink..."'

    After the Confirmation and Holy Communion, the Bishop welcomed the candidates and their families to a party in the hall.
