Carol services at HTB

    Monday, 13 December 2010: 10.38am

More than 4,000 people attended HTB's 'Carols by Candlelight' services this weekend.

The church was packed for each of the four services – two on Saturday, two on Sunday – as choir and orchestra led the congregation in Christmas favourites including Once in Royal David's City, In the Bleak Mid-Winter, and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.

New Director of Classical Music Mark Underwood conducted the services. Talks were delivered by Pete Greig and Nicky Gumbel on 'The Message of Christmas'.

The services were just the start of the Christmas celebrations for the church. This Sunday, there will be Christingle Services both at Holy Trinity Brompton and St Paul's Onslow Square; Alternative carols at St Paul's and a traditional carol service at St Augustines.
