HTB will be holding Easter services across all three sites next week.
There will be a Maundy Thursday Communion Service at St Augustine’s Queens Gate on 21 April at 8pm based around five readings, leading from The Last Supper through to the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin.
The service will include classical music sung by a choir and two short talks from Paul Cowley and David Walker.
A reflective Good Friday service will be held on 22 April at HTB from 11am.
The three hour long service will include six meditation talks led by Chris Tilling from St Mellitus College all centered around the cross. The talks will be: The cross and relationship with God, The cross and God, The cross and Christ, The cross and humans, The cross and salvation and The cross and our mission.
There will also be music led by HTB Easter Choir, HTB Chamber Choir, the Choir of St Augustine's Queen's Gate, plus a variety of instrumentalists and soloists.
The service will include commissioned video, various multimedia elements and opportunity for prayer.
Easter Sunday Services will run at the normal times on the 24 April with communion at all services. The Bishop of Kensington will celebrate communion and preach at the 11am Sung Eucharist service at St Augustine’s.
