New Justice Secretary Chris Grayling is to attend the Prison Ministry conference at HTB Brompton Road next month.
Mr Grayling, who took over the job from Kenneth Clarke in the recent reshuffle, will deliver a keynote speech at the event, which is hosted by Paul Cowley, head of Alpha for Prisons and Caring for Ex-Offenders.
The conference on October 19 will be of great significance for anyone working or volunteering in prisons, Young Offender Institutions or with ex-offenders - particularly those in the UK.
Also speaking will be Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons, Nick Hardwick, who was formerly Chair of the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Businessman Sir Richard Branson, who has taken a particular interest in prisons and Caring for Ex Offenders, has also confirmed that he will address the conference, either in person or by video message.
This conference is a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved in prison ministry to come together to hear from major speakers and to strategise and pray for the year ahead. Sign up for the conference today by clicking here.
