HTB's Director of Prayer Pete Greig announced the new ‘Kingdom Come United Kingdom (KC:UK)’ initiative at UK Vision Day yesterday evening.

The plan is for 24-7 prayer to partner with churches and organizations in the UK to have a year of continuous prayer across the UK in 2012.

‘The heartbeat of Alpha is Prayer. It is where it begins and it is where it ends,’ he said.

Pete was joined on stage by Paul Davies, head of Alpha Scotland, Dave Dickinson, head of Alpha Northern Ireland, Jane Holloway, Director of the Prayer Forum of the British Isles and Ireland and Phil Togwell, 24-7 prayer UK National Director.

The goal is to have churches and prayer communities across the nation pledge to continually pray for various slots in the year and unify the country in prayer.

2012 has been targeted as it will be a big year for the UK with the Olympics in London over the summer.
