Three hundred and fifty people heard Russian pianist Sophia Lisovskaya play at the Concert and Afternoon Tea for Older People and Friends at HTB Onslow Square last Thursday.
Ms Lisovskaya, 35, was born in Moscow and won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London in 1994. She performed her debut in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire and since then has performed throughout Europe as well as in China, Australia and South America.
She was welcomed to the stage by Fi Costa, who founded the HTB Concert and Tea events. At Thursday's concert, more than a thousand cups of tea were served and a thousand sandwiches eaten.
The next concerts will be held on 26th April and 28th June.
