PrayerForce holds its latest retreat

    Monday, 9 May 2011: 2.07pm

More than 40 people attended PrayerForce’s getaway at the Kairo’s Centre in Roehampton last weekend.

PrayerForce was set up in 2008 by HTB’s Head of Prayer, Pete Greig to pray for all that goes on at HTB and Alpha.

Members are forwarded prayer requests via text and e-mail. Events are held during the year for members to gather together and be encouraged in each other’s prayer lives.

The focus of the event was on developing prayer life and included a session on Lectio Divina, a traditionally Catholic practice of praying combined with scripture reading.

The day-long event featured talks by Pete Greig, head of PrayerForce Amanda Wilkie and HTB Curate Emmy Wilson.

The day also featured private and group prayer time where attendees were able to put into practice what they had learned over the course of the day.
