
Church leader Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, the fastest-selling book after the Bible, spoke on the second day of the HTB Leadership Conference today at the Royal Albert Hall.
Interviewed by Nicky Gumbel, he said, 'In 1000 years time, there will be no USA, no UK, no Microsoft, no Apple, but there will be a Church.'
'If you want to be successful in leadership you must build your life around integrity, humility and generosity.'
'Leadership is like fruit. The best fruit grows in the shade - it ripens slowly.'
Also speaking at today's event were The Bishop of London and Hillsong pastor Christine Caine.
Matt Redman and LZ7 performed their hit song '27 million' which reached number 12 in the iTunes singles chart.
In the afternoon the four seminar streams, Culture, Church, Community and Commerce, continued with Paul Scanlon of Abundant Life Ministries, High Court Judge Sir Paul Coleridge and Irwin Sparkes of the band the Hoosiers among those speaking.
