The former HTB Director of Classical Music, Simon Dixon, returned to HTB for a special concert last week.
The HTB Chamber Choir and HTB Queen’s Gate Choir joined with the Choir of Falls Church, VA, USA, for a concert celebrating choral music from both sides of the Atlantic.
Simon worked at HTB for 21 years before taking over as director of the Falls Church Choir.
The touring Choir was in the UK for a concert at HTB's newest Church Plant – St Luke’s Church, Kentish Town NW5, where Rev. Jon March is Vicar, but played a special shorter concert at the 9am service at HTB Onslow Square.
Music included works by Byrd, Gibbons, Stanford, Walton, Fauré and Gustafson and featured ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Morten Lauridsen, sung previously by the HTB Chamber Choir at the HTB Christmas Carol Service in December 2011.
