Almost 20,000 people attended the Big Church Day Out at Wiston Estate in West Sussex last weekend.
The Big Church Day out is organized by ex-Delirious member Tim Jupp with the vision to bring churches together for two days of worship and prayer.
Head of Prayer at HTB, Pete Greig, was the MC at the event and interviewed Nicky Gumbel on Saturday and HTB Church Warden and Alpha Chairman Ken Costa on Sunday on the main stage.
Nicky spoke about the Alpha course and the upcoming Pentecost celebrations at the O2 arena.
Some of the artists that performed at the event include The David Crowder Band, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Tobymac, Israel Houghton and Matt Redman. Matt will be joining the HTB family at Focus in July.
Throughout the day there were opportunities for prayer inside the Wiston Church, where Graham Kendrick also led a session on Psalm surfing.
In addition to the main stage there was also a stage by the tea-tent for more worship and a third stage aimed primarily at youth. The kids tent included a seminar led by Psalm drummers.
Alpha UK had a stand at the Market Place and spoke with many guests and heard encouraging stories and testimonies from those who have attended an Alpha course. There was also a lot of interest in the Pentecost event.
About 2000 people camped on the estate throughout Saturday and Sunday.
