Thousands attend Bishop's event

    Thursday, 26 April 2012: 12.10pm

More than 2,000 young people packed St Paul's Cathedral for a special event hosted by the Bishop of London on Tuesday.

The 'London Calling' event - part of 'The 2012' diocesan initiative - was a commissioning service for young Christians who promised to be 'Christ's Ambassadors in this Jubilee and Olympic year... called by God to be his witnesses across this great global city and to live lives that are worthy of your calling.'

The Bishop of London prayed for the newly commissioned ambassadors, urging them to 'serve those in need and to give reason for the hope that is within you.'

HTB Director of Worship Tim Hughes led the worship at the event with the HTB band.  Director of Prayer Pete Greig hosted a series of interviews and led prayers.
