Cafe-style services at Holy Trinity

Cafe facilities will be available at Holy Trinity Brompton’s two evening services from next month, with coffee, cakes and smoothies on the menu.

The café will be open at the back of the church for half an hour before the 5pm service and again from 7pm for the later service, at which worship will now begin at around 7.30pm.

The introduction of the church café on Sunday, October 5 follows the huge success of the 11am and 6pm services at St Paul’s Onslow Square, both of which offer café facilities at the back of church.

HTB’s 5pm service will also see the introduction of more free worship space, with chairs replaced by floor cushions and sofas.

There will continue to be a café available in HTB’s Church House after the 5pm service. The 7pm service will now end between 8.45 and 9pm.

Changes are also taking place on Sunday mornings as a result of the huge increase in pastoral space on both the Brompton Road and Onslow Square sites following the move of HTB and Alpha staff to the new offices in Cromwell Road.

Children aged between seven and 10, who until now have been taken to the Drill Hall on the Brompton Road during the 9.30am and 11.30am services, are now installed in the entire first floor of Church House – an easy walk across the car park.

At St Paul’s Onslow Square’s 11am service, there will now be facilities for children up to the age of three and there will be a creche at the 6pm service.
