Hundreds join in 24/7 prayer week
Hundreds of HTB congregation members took part in the church's first 24/7 prayer week - with prayer continuing round the clock for five days and nights last month.
The Hut was converted into a prayer room, with paper lining the walls (for writing thoughts and prayers), along with a tube map of London and a map of the world to help identify areas for prayer.
There was also an area for painting and an area with cushions where people could relax and pray.
More than 150 pastorate members took part in a prayer event on the Millenium Wheel, praying for London as they went round.
Lunchtime prayer hubs also took place during the week at World's End Estate, a home in Clapham and at the 24/7 City of London Boiler Room.
More than 300 people used the prayer room during the week, which began at 9pm on Sunday 9th September.
It carried through until the following Friday, ending with the Prayer for London event co-hosted by HTB Vicar Nicky Gumbel and Pastor Agu irukwu, senior pastor of Jesus House for All Nations. Prayers were said for the forthcoming Alpha Courses
