New 11am brunch service launches at St Paul's

There were croissants, bacon sandwiches, coffee and tea, a muesli bar and orange juice for everyone as more than 150 people attended the launch of the new 11am service at St Paul’s Onslow Square last month.

The service, which begins with ‘the best brunch in London’ for half an hour before the formal service begins, is already proving a hit with HTB members. As congregation members arrived at the launch, a piano and double bass played jazz from the stage.

Newspapers

Sunday newspapers are available for anyone wanting time for quiet relaxation, while others take advantage of the buffet and conversation with fellow church members.

The service, which is pastored by worship leader Al Gordon like the other two services at St Paul’s, includes live worship from an HTB band and a talk on a big screen, recorded just an hour before at Holy Trinity’s 9.30am service.

It is the seventh service offered in Holy Trinity’s parish as morning and evening congregations continue to grow.

At present, children and younger youth groups continue to be based at the HTB site on Sunday mornings, with only a creche available at the 11am at St Paul’s.
