A group from HTB was invited to attend Tony Blair’s lecture on ‘Faith and Globalisation’ at Westminster Cathedral earlier this month.

Churchwarden Ken Costa, Financial Director Jeremy Jennings and UK Alpha Director Rebecca Stewart were among a group of eight HTB representatives at the lecture, which was hosted by Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor.

Vicar Nicky Gumbel was unable to attend because he was attending Alpha events in Singapore. In the lecture, Mr Blair spoke of how he had come to Christian faith while at university.

He called for all the world’s faiths to work more closely together to tackle global poverty.
