This is an inspiring biography of J O Fraser, missionary to the Lisu tribe and all round prayer warrior. Thrilling stuff.

A great introduction to contemplative prayer by an excellent writer.

God 360 – Andy Flanagan
This is a devotional book with a difference: providing highly creative and engaging suggestions for encountering God in new kinds of prayer. Excellent for young people.

Prayer – Philip Yancey
A good overview, and particularly strong on the questions of why we should pray and why there is not always an answer to those prayers.

The Power of Simple Prayer – Joyce Meyer
A good book by a gifted and popular bible teacher.

Deeper: Contemplative Prayer for Charismatic Christians – Stefan Smart, published by Be Still Publications
