Single Parenting

Single parents at HTB meet once a month for Sunday lunch between 1:30pm-3:30pm (after the 11:30am service at HTB); and also for monthly teaching and prayer ministry on Saturday mornings. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to come together to find support, restoration and friends in a loving community.

Who is it for

This group is for parents and children of single parent families. Our aim is to provide community, support and prayer ministry for parents and children. We welcome anyone who is either already coming to the church or who might be interested in finding support and friendship.

What’s happening?

Sunday Lunch starts at 1:30pm-3:30pm. Marika and a few helpers cook a fabulous lunch!

Saturday Prayer Ministry starts at 10am-12:30pm with coffee from Starbucks followed by a talk and prayer ministry.

Exciting News

We are also very excited to let you know that the wonderful Jennifer Broadley, founder of 'Successful Single Parenting,' has agreed to come and share her experience on how to manage being a single parent as successfully as possible, on July 5th at our Saturday teaching morning, I know it is going to be very inspiring and we would love you to come.

What people have said

’It is so nice to have fantastically cooked Sunday roasts in a relaxed atmosphere, something I seldom now experience as a single male parent. It brings back all those great and fond memories of being family and sharing meals, something I experienced regularly before my separation.’

‘It was so lovely to have somewhere to go for Sunday lunch after the morning service which can be a really lonely time with everyone going off in their family groups’.
